The boot knife shown above is slightly atypical. More like a Turkish dagger. This knife has a 4" blade made from 5/32" thick
440c stainless steel. The bolsters are from 416 stainless steel. Handle is a composite of gold-lip mother-of-pearl and red abalone. Price for a
similar piece is USD$400. All boot knives are fitted with a custom hand stitched leather sheath mounted with a boot clip.
Below shows a modern version of the boot knife. Known as the "Desert Dragon", this one has an 4" blade made from 3/16" thick
440c stainless steel and is fileworked down the tang spine. The bolsters are from mosaic damascus steel. The handle is bark mammoth ivory with a 304
stainless steel lined lanyard hole. Price for the 6" traditional dagger is USD$600.
