The blade is flat-ground, 1/4" thick and a full 12 1/2" long made from 440c stainless steel. The heavy-duty hibachi is made from copper and butts up against a carbon damascus steel tsuba. The tsuba caps an extended handle made of stabilized thuya burl. The saya (sheath) is made from the same thuya burl and is set with elephant ivory "dots".
Price for this traditionally made tanto is USD$1500.
